Description

PancrePlus Powder is a concentrated porcine pancreatic enzyme. It is a useful digestive aid for replacement therapy when digestion of fat, carbohydrates, and protein is inadequate because of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency.

What is PancrePlus Powder?

PancrePlus Powder is a pancreatic enzyme to aid in the digestion of protein, carbohydrates, and fat due to a pancreatic insufficiency in dogs and cats.

Why use PancrePlus Powder?

Features of PancrePlus:

  • Prevents malnutrition
  • Absorbs all the nutrients in all of your pet's meals
  • Reduces the symptoms of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI), improving your pet's quality of life
  • Helps your pet digest foods by producing the necessary pancreatic enzymes and fat soluble vitamins

How does PancrePlus Powder work?

PancrePlus Powder can be mixed with moistened dry or canned food. In order to bring the enzymes into contact with food particles, PancrePlus should be thoroughly mixed. The pancreatic enzyme concentrate contains protease, lipase, and amylase, which are three major enzymes. Fats are broken down by lipase; protein is broken down by protease; and carbohydrates are broken down by amylase. All of these breakdowns are crucial to proper nutrition.

Helpful Tips:

Supplementing with fat-soluble oral vitamins is recommended and widely accepted. However, there is no official ideal dosage.
The serum concentrations in fat-soluble Vitamins A, D3, and E are usually substandard in cats and dogs with pancreatic insufficiency. Enzyme treatment alone may not resolve this.
Large dogs may require significantly more PancrePlus to achieve digestive health.
